    Ernie (D0405)
This is Ernie, he is a bonded pair with Burt. They came to us about a month ago from a hoarding situation. The boys were kept outside so they are still getting used to being indoor dogs. Ernie is VERY attached to his brother, we think because of what they endured together before they came to us. We are hoping to find a forever home they will both be welcome. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We verify the care of past/current pets. 2. Flash (D0511)
    Flash (D0511)
Meet Flash! He came to 4 PAWS in June 2017 a total mess! He was a hunting dog turned loose to service on his own. He was a walking skeleton with no training and heartworm positive. Over the summer his fosters crate trained him, teaching him how to be an indoor dog. We got him neutered and treated for heart worms. He loves other dogs, he loves kids and he loves playing. He is still learning that counter surfing isn't acceptable but his good features far outweigh the bad! If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We verify the care of past/current pets. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs and cats and therefore we reserve the right to approve or deny an application based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest.

  6. Spitfire (C0006)
    Spitfire (C0006)
My name is Spitfire and I am looking for my forever home! I was rescued after someone dumped my pregnant mommy in the woods. She gave birth to us and then a lady trapped us so we could be safe from the neighborhood dogs. I was the runt of the litter but my heart is HUGE! I just want a human to snuggle up with and spend my days loving. I enjoy cuddling up and watching movies. Loud noises scare me so I could do well in a quieter home with older kids or adults. I am fine with other cats and will not chase dogs. I have all of my shots and I am neutered. Hartley (D0713)
Meet Hartley who is part of the "H" litter! Her mama Harley and puppies (Hurley, Henna, Hudson, Harris and Hartley) were rescued before they were turned into at small shelter. The puppies were about 4 weeks old and needed some time to grow. The puppies are 10 week old Catahoula/Lab mixes. These puppies are extremely smart and very high energy. Their new home should be very active, have a large yard and people who love to walk or run. In order for these puppies to be successful they will need training and lots of love. Their shots are current, they have been dewormed and are on hw/flea prevention. They are absolutely adorable but please read up on the breed before submitting your application. 10. Lordyn (D0738)
    Lordyn (D0738)
Meet Lordyn! She is part of the "L" litter that came to us about a month ago. Lars and Lordyn are being fostered together and have come a long way since they have been with us. The are now both fixed, shots are current , they are on hw/flea prevention and are microchipped. They are about 7 months old, the shelter labelled them border collie mixes but they are both under 30lbs. Here are some words from their foster: Smart dogs!!! great with dogs but cats...... not really, kinda mean to them, crate trained, very fast learners. Both are good on a leash, are really good "alarm" dogs; very protective of yard and house. They are still learning to trust humans. They are both a lot of fun, great dogs that LOVE being outside on nice days. Lordyn: housebroken, still cautious of people, warms up with time. Lordyn loves her toys, she almost treats them as a security blanket. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. 11. Joey (D0800)
    Joey (D0800)
Meet Joey! He came to us about 14 days ago, after his family surrendered him (at 12 years old) to a small shelter. Here is what his foster has to say: Joey is doing well...and so cute... he’s house trained and either barks or groans when he needs to go out. When I’m ready for him to come in from outside I just call his name and he runs right inside to his bed. He sits and shakes when told and doesn’t need to be crated at night. He’s good all day (I know because I spy with the puppy cams 😬). He gets along great with my submissive dog.. He’s not so fond of my alpha female and he growls at her all the time...we’ve had a few spats and unfortunately she won so that didn’t help with his dislike for her. He would be great with a family that needed a companion dog they didn’t want to train or an older individual that didn’t want a rambunctious dog. He’s good on a leash so no worries about pulling. Joey's shots are current, he is neutered and has been given hw/flea prevention. If you are looking for a chill dog to hang out with, Joey is your man!

Tapi is in foster care in SC while getting HW Treatment and Spayed. These girls have really blossomed in foster care and are thriving. They are about 14 week old Lab mixes. They love to play with other dogs, big and small. They are being crate trained, working on housebreaking and their vetting is up to date. If you are interested in having a running buddy and snuggle pal all in the same body, either of these girls are for you! If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We verify the care of past/current pets. 14. Shiloh (D0798)
    Shiloh (D0798)
Meet Shiloh! She came to us with her sister Sage! They came to us a couple of weeks ago after being surrendered to a small shelter. The girls are spayed, 7 month old Retriever mixes. Here is what their foster has to say about each of them: Shiloh - Like her sister, she's a true puppy in a bigger body. She still acts like a real puppy, full of energy, very playful, funny and sweet and quite a bit destructive. She came to us with no training at all and is currently a work in progress. She's a bit slower than her sister in learning commands but is treat motivated, so that should help. She does have a lot of "squirrel" moments during training, so it would be best to isolate her from everybody and have a quiet room to teach her the ropes. She does want to please but takes a bit more time and patience when it comes to training. She is good in the crate and will go in willingly as long as there are lots of treats to greet her. She has not messed in the crate once but is still learning that she also should not go in the house. She's good with her sister, Sage but does show a bit of unhappiness towards my dogs when it comes to toys, food and treats. She would to best in a home with no cats.
  15. Sage (D0799)
    Sage (D0799)
Meet Sage! She came to us with her sister Shiloh! They came to us a couple of weeks ago after being surrendered to a small shelter. The girls are spayed, 7 month old Retriever mixes. Here is what their foster has to say about each of them: Sage - She's a true puppy in a bigger body. She still acts like a real puppy, full of energy, very playful, funny and sweet and a bit destructive, just like a real puppy! She came to us with no training at all and is currently a work in progress. She's very smart and eager to learn, especially if treats are the reward. She's learned how to sit very quickly and loves her toys. She is a HUGE water lover and will just lay in the baby pool, lounging like it's nobody's business. She's getting used to the crate but is not a fan. However, with some more training she should come around. She's still learning not to mess in the crate or the house and she still needs training on leash walking. But, she's very eager to please, is a very smart dog and loves attention she receives from us. She's good with her sister, Shiloh and accepts my dogs, but is not a fan of cats at all.
