    Ernie (D0405)
This is Ernie, he is a bonded pair with Burt. They came to us about a month ago from a hoarding situation. The boys were kept outside so they are still getting used to being indoor dogs. Ernie is VERY attached to his brother, we think because of what they endured together before they came to us. We are hoping to find a forever home they will both be welcome. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We verify the care of past/current pets. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs and cats and therefore we reserve the right to approve or deny an application based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest.
  2. Flash (D0511)
    Flash (D0511)
Meet Flash! He came to 4 PAWS in June 2017 a total mess! He was a hunting dog turned loose to service on his own. He was a walking skeleton with no training and heartworm positive. Over the summer his fosters crate trained him, teaching him how to be an indoor dog. We got him neutered and treated for heart worms. He loves other dogs, he loves kids and he loves playing. He is still learning that counter surfing isn't acceptable but his good features far outweigh the bad!

  4. Spitfire (C0006)
    Spitfire (C0006)
My name is Spitfire and I am looking for my forever home! I was rescued after someone dumped my pregnant mommy in the woods. She gave birth to us and then a lady trapped us so we could be safe from the neighborhood dogs. I was the runt of the litter but my heart is HUGE! I just want a human to snuggle up with and spend my days loving. I enjoy cuddling up and watching movies. Loud noises scare me so I could do well in a quieter home with older kids or adults. I am fine with other cats and will not chase dogs. I have all of my shots and I am neutered.

  6. Joey (D0800)
    Joey (D0800)
Meet Joey! He came to us in April, after his family surrendered him (at 12 years old) to a small shelter. Here is what his foster has to say: Joey is doing well...and so cute... he’s house trained and either barks or groans when he needs to go out. When I’m ready for him to come in from outside I just call his name and he runs right inside to his bed. He sits and shakes when told and doesn’t need to be crated at night. He’s good all day (I know because I spy with the puppy cams 😬). He would be great with a family that needed a companion dog they didn’t want to train or an older individual that didn’t want a rambunctious dog. He’s good on a leash so no worries about pulling. Joey's shots are current, he is neutered and has been given hw/flea prevention. If you are looking for a chill dog to hang out with, Joey is your man!
  7. Lily (D0637)
    Lily (D0637)
Meet Lily! She found herself in a small rural shelter before Christmas. Her eyes begged us to take her and we couldn't resist (we are so glad she came to us)! Lily has been spayed, shots are current and she has been treated for heartworm. She is great with kids, absolutely loves cuddling and going for walks. She is ok with calm dogs who don't get into her face (she is tolerant but it is evident she isn't happy). We believe she is a Beagle Boxer mix; she has characteristics of both. Lilly loves to be with her people!

    Betty (D0714) and Baxter (D0715)
Meet Betty and Baxter! We originally introduced you to them in February of this year when they were part of a hoarding case. Betty had just had her babies but they had been separated. It was obvious that they had very little interaction with humans, they cringed when pet. Betty is a 3 year old spayed Terrier mix; Baxter, her (neutered) son is 1 year old. Betty has finished her heartworm treatments; the vet gave her the all clear. The two have been through so much together, that they don’t function well without each other so they must be adopted together. Both dogs are crate trained, vaccines are utd, been dewormed and are on flea/hw preventative. They will need a patient adopter who understands that it will take them time to adjust. They’re still stand offish and don’t like change, but they really are a joy!! Betty and Baxter deserve the good life! The Three Amigos (D0803, D0804, D0805)
Meet the three amigos (Mr. Big, Sissy and Scottie BB) to the 4 PAWS family! They came to us after their mom started hospice; sadly she has passed away. They were so scared of doing anything different; they moved everywhere as one, with Mr. Big being the leader. They are 3 year old Keeshond/Shih Tzu mixes who now need a loving home. The now are able to walk on a leash, they are crate trained and housebroken. They are not tiny dogs, they weigh about 35lbs. They have been fostered together in 2 different homes, both homes had kids and other dogs. They have sweet personalities and they love cuddling. All of them have been spay/neutered, shots utd, dewormed and are on flea/hw prevention. We would absolutely love if they could stay together because of their bond.
